It has a 74 inch wing span and is 70 inch in length, its powered by a DLE 30cc petrol engine and I am using the Spectrum DX6i 2.4GHz transmitter. I have flown the model on six occasions and can not wait weather permitting."

Tom's INTROVERTAdded April 5th 2011
Model is 22" span made of 'Depron' from a free plan in RCM&E, powered by a 5 gram motor with 4 X 2.5" prop. 10 amp.E.S.C with 2 cell 220m/a Li-po battery giving 65gram thrust.3X 5 gram servos on Aileron, Elevator and Rudder. Spektrum 2.4 G receiver. Flying weight is just 3 oz.
I flew the old one up at the field once or twice on calm days.
My latest model A.R.T.F. Innovator. Flies O.K. but don't like Tricycle undercarts. After breaking 3 props and numerous straightening of the front leg,I decided enough was enough and modified it to a "taildragger". It still flies well but I can approach for a landing now with more confidence. Powered by a 'Turnigy' C3542-1000 Outrunner,APC 10X7E prop. giving 400watts+ at 38 amps off a 3S1P 2200m/a 25C battery. Next was a 10X5E giving 350+ watts @ 31amps Now I'm using a APC 9X4.5E giving 300 watts @25 amps. The original weight was 3lb.10ozs. and now 3lb.12 oz. Its still fast enough for me!!.

Tom's Stargazer 2 (Pictures 9 & 10 | 2009 Section) Added 17th May 2009
I've just been up to Lonsdale Bowl to test fly my new "Stargazer 2" glider. The wind was a bit strong so I put 4 oz. lead in the fuz.where I'd fitted a bolt to take measured amounts of lead as the write-up in the RCM&E magazine, which also mentioned that the C of G was wrong in the instructions. ( 3"from the L.E. and not 2"). The launch was a bit "hairy" but when I settled down it flew OK. It looped and rolled so easy and the landing was no problem even without the flaps deployed. I really enjoyed the experience so I took some photos which I'm passing on to you. You'll notice that the elevator is fitted upside down ( that's how I can identify it from the rest ).
